This session will explore how auditees can prepare for an audit so that they can put their best foot forward and work towards a successful review. The presentation will cover practical steps that auditees can take when they find out they are subject to an audit by the Office of Inspector General, Government Accountability Office, or anyone else that comes knocking! We discuss some of the applicable requirements under the Uniform Grants Guidance and review why proactive self-monitoring, corrective actions, and other internal controls can make a visit better than expected.
